Every place has a musical history.
You just need to know where to look.
How it all started
When I travel, I always look beyond the typical tourist routes of each city.
Going beyond the crosswalk photo at Abbey Road.
I want to stand in front of the studio where my favorite band recorded. See the street where the music I love was born. Understand the connection between music, places and their cities.
I wanted to know: "What musical history does this place have?"
That information was scattered and fragmented. So I decided to curate it and put it all in one place.
I started documenting. Abbey Road in London. Legião Urbana in Brasília. Grunge in Seattle. Punk in London. Legendary studios. Memorials. Album covers. Historic venues.
After months, I gathered 500+ places across 12+ cities.
It wasn't meant to be just a database. It was a philosophy:
"Every place has a musical history to tell."

B-Side Map
B-Side Map is a music curation for people who travel as fans.
It connects the stories and credits of the greatest records in history with their places. It's about recreating an album cover photo, or seeing where it was shot. Visiting the house where an idol grew up. Standing at the door of the venue behind that legendary live album. To pay your respect at memorials. A moment of joy at a famous corner. Feeling the loss of a club that closed and is now a store.
Every place shaped the music we love.
And now you'll see where these places are, plan, understand and connect with them on your next walk, trip, or even in the city you live in right now.

An independent project
B-Side Map is an independent project. Made by one person who loves music. Who believed every trip has a meaning and it can be a musical one.
The goal is simple:
- Inspire you to visit these places.
- Never forget the musical history.
- Travel as a fan.
Because a trip through music is different. It's personal. It's emotional. It's real.

What the app believes
- All music comes from a place. And that place matters.
- Traveling is about discovering stories that move you. Not just ticking checkboxes.
- Music fans are, in a way, pilgrims.
- Curation matters. Context matters.
- Connection matters. When you visit a place understanding its story, you truly live that place.
- The musical history of every place deserves to be remembered.
That's why B-Side Map exists.
